ABOUT US

Communities in Schools Houston

Because CIS believes in the power of relationships, we provide integrated student supports that empower students to succeed in school and achieve in life. We often say we do “Whatever it takes,” and it works because CIS keeps 98% of its kids in school!

The CIS story is ultimately about our young people. CIS provides children who are most at-risk of dropping out of school with a caring one-on-one relationship with a responsible adult to foster their positive growth and development. CIS offers students an opportunity to learn, go to college, and get a job. CIS is the only on-campus Dropout Prevention program serving underserved youth in Houston.

With your help, we will be able to ensure at-risk children in our community continue to have access to the tools necessary to stay in school and graduate with a vision for their future.
