How to Participate:
Bowl:
- Grab up to five of your favorite people to bowl with you, join an existing team, sign up as a single bowler or create a “Virtual Team” (for those who cannot attend but would still like to collect donations). No bowling experience is necessary! Get started right away… pick your team, select a team name, and sign up! A team captain may have multiple teams.
- Click Here to register your team. Choose a team name. Each team may have up to 6 bowlers.
- **To get a t-shirt, you must register to bowl by July 20th.
- Come bowling with us! You can join an existing team or let us assign you to a team that needs bowlers. The bowler registration fees of $25.00 per person includes bowling shoes and 2 hours of bowling. Register to Bowl Here
- You can direct your sponsors – friends and family – to the website to make their donations on behalf of your team with a credit or debit card through PayPal. The website will keep track of your progress. It’s that easy! (Donations can also be made by cash or check. See below for more details.) DOWNLOAD BOWLER PLEDGE SHEET
- You can create a team or join an existing team. For those who aren’t able to attend, but would still like to collect pledges online, create a “virtual team“.
- We ask that each team collectively raise money for the event. Donations must be received by day of event (checks and cash may be handed in during check-in on day of event). DOWNLOAD BOWLER PLEDGE SHEET
- Team Captains – please make sure all of your teammates know the date, time and location of the event. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, get your shoes, and get any special instructions. Don’t forget your socks!
How to Contribute:
Sponsor: There are three sponsorship levels that include a variety of great benefits. (See Sponsorship Opportunities below.) SPONSOR NOW!
Donate: Make a donation to a team or individual bowler, or donate to the event. You can donate any amount you’d like. All donations are appreciated! DONATE NOW!
- SET A GOAL. Don’t underestimate yourself.
- START EARLY. Don’t wait until the last minute. It’s never too early.
- JUST ASK. Don’t be afraid. Ask people to “help you support Recreation and Athletics for Individuals with Disabilities”. Ask everyone: family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, your boss, hairdresser, dentist, or doctor. Remember that your friends and family want to support you, so don’t be shy!
- SEND A LETTER or EMAIL. Write a simple letter to friends and family members. Tell them why you are bowling and ask them to support you by making a contribution. Include a return envelope by mail and a link to our donation page for online donations (www.bowlathon.net/manage/event/rad-bowlathon-2023/donation/create). This is a painless way to ask and brings in a surprising amount of donations!

ABOUT US
Mission Statement
Recreation and Athletics for Individuals with Disabilities’ (RAD) mission is to assist individuals with disabilities who want to participate in recreational, athletic, and social activities with financial support.
What is RAD?
RAD is a Chandler Arizona based non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded by parents of individuals with disabilities and other concerned citizens. RAD is dedicated to assisting any person who has a disability and wants to participate in recreation or athletic activities. For individuals with disabilities, the City of Chandler offers a year-round schedule of sports, fitness and social activities. RAD raises funds to pay the costs for registration fees, equipment, and transportation associated with the city’s therapeutic program. This includes bowling, softball, golf, track, tennis, other therapeutic sports, and social events such as dances, pool parties and special movie nights at local theaters.
What is the RAD Bowl-a-Thon?
Brought to you by RAD in collaboration with Chandler Therapeutic Recreation, the RAD Bowl-a-thon is one of designed to bring individuals with disabilities together for a fun day of bowling with friends and families. The event will take place at the Chandler AMF Lanes and will include two hours of bowling and shoe rental. A raffle will be held with awesome prizes and a swag bag will be given to all registrants. Gifts will be awarded to participants who help solicit the most donations for the event.
How Will Your Contribution Help?
The Bowl-a-thon raises funds to support RAD’s mission of sponsoring participation in sports, dances, and special family events through the City of Chandler Therapeutic programs. The motto, “RAD pays so others can play” reflects the commitment and integrity of its goal to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
