Bowling for PAWS 2026 is a fundraising event benefiting PAWS, a program of the Albany Damien Center. Registration is $35 per bowler and includes two games of bowling.

2-2:20 PM – Drag Queen Performance & Raffle Prize Drawings
2:20-3:45 PM – Final Game of Bowling

About The Event
Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS), a program of the Albany Damien Center, provides food, veterinary services and care for the pets of those living with HIV/AIDS, to ensure that pet owners who are struggling with HIV/AIDS are never separated from their beloved pets, often when they need each other the most.
With your support, PAWS provides assistance with veterinary bills, pet food and supplies, transportation, and help in caring for pets when their owners are too ill to do so. By supporting this event, your business will be exposed as a generous supporter for people with HIV and AIDS, their pets, and the local community to:
- Over 200 people attended Bowling for PAWS on March 9, 2025
- Over 5,000 people on the Albany Damien Center mailing list
- Over 3,000 social media followers with a weekly reach of almost 12,000 people.
- Over 5,000 customers visiting Kingpin’s the week a sign with your organization’s name is displayed
In 2025, 83 clients and 129 pets received PAWS services. A total of 11,452 lbs. of pet food, litter, and supplies were distributed, and $3,455.88 in pet care bills were paid. PAWS made 176 deliveries of food, supplies, and Congregate Meals to members between January and December 2025 to ensure the needs of our members and their pets were met. Over 710 services were provided to members and their pets throughout the year.

Founded in 1988, the Damien Center is a resource center designed to improve health, reduce stress and increase the quality of life in a supportive atmosphere for individuals and families living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
As a membership-based organization we provide programs and services, free-of-charge, in a welcoming and culturally diverse environment.
