WHO IS CHEF DON BOWIE?
Houston native and restaurateur, Chef Don Bowie, has bolstered his status as a leader in Houston’s rapidly evolving culinary scene since opening TKB.
In addition to his business endeavors Chef Bowie is proud to announce the formation of a new charitable arm to his growing hospitality group, Culinary Matters. Big Chef Bowie Cares – a non-profit 501c3 foundation – which will serve to amplify his ongoing charitable efforts that have historically focused on supporting educational initiatives, hunger aid, disaster relief and second chance citizens.
One of my proudest collaborations is with The City Wide Club, where we support The Super Feast, the largest holiday feeding event in the nation, held at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Every year, we unite to provide meals, resources, and assistance to families in Houston through:
- Collaborating with City Wide Club to help produce the countries largest holiday food drive.
- Utilizing the proceeds from TASTE Kitchen + Bar and Culinary Matters to drive this mission.
