You can sponsor our event (click on link at left) or read on to learn more about teams.  Scroll down through the links on the left to learn more and to register.

Teams
Each team has five bowlers.  Registration to secure your spot is $20 (total team - $100). Your registration fee pays for shoes, bowling games and lunch.  We are asking every bowler to help Voices For Recovery by raising a minimum of $100 (just ask 10 people for $10 and you're there!) Prizes will be given for the most contributions raised.

Company Sponsored Teams
Your company can sponsor your team of five for $750 (which includes registration and donation). Your company would have a banner with company's name/logo on your lane, and be in our event brochure! Team up to support families with youth in crisis!  Dress up with your team theme!  Prizes will be awarded for best team uniform/costume.

Become a Team Captain

The Team Captain will:

Step 1: ORGANIZE A TEAM OF FIVE PEOPLE (which includes yourself).

You and up to 4 of your best friends, crazy co-workers or favorite family members.  They do not have to be bowlers or have any previous bowling experience.  They just need to want to have fun.

GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY, pick your team, name them and let's get ready to Roll for Recovery.

The proceeds from this event will benefit 3 organizations, which provide prevention, intervention and treatment services for families with children in crisis.  The organizations are Another Choice, Another Chance (ACAC); Mexican American Alcoholism Center (MAAP); Better Life Children Services.

Step 2: COLLECT $20 FROM EACH BOWLER to secure their spot. Registration fees pay for shoes, bowling games and lunch. Click the "Pay Registration Fees" link on the left to pay your fees using a credit card or your PayPal account. If you are paying by check, send the registration fees to:

Step 3: TEAM CAPTAINS WILL RECEIVE information sheets for each team member (feel free to make more copies).

  • You will encourage your team members to canvas their network of friends, family, neighborhood, etc. to collect donations (donations are a flat fee, not a per pin amount).  Each team member's goal is to collect $100 (but don't stop there!).
  • Encourage your team members that if they ask for $10 from 10 people, they will have raised $100 which will help us reach our goal of $40,000 which will support 5 community-based organizations!
  • Tax receipts will be available upon request.

Step 4: REGISTER YOUR TEAM at www. bowlathon.net.  At this website you will be able to keep track of your team members and donated money.

  • Choose a team name - the lane will be reserved under whatever name you decide upon.  Be creative, wild, or conventional - the choice is yours!  And if you want to come up with a team theme costume, go for it!
  • You can direct donations to the website where sponsors can pay with a credit card through PayPal and apply the donation on behalf of an individual bowler or team.

Step 5: DONATIONS can be made online using a credit card or your PayPal account or by check.  If using your credit card or PayPal, click the "Make a Donation" link on the left.  Donations paid by check must be made payable to "Another Choice, Another Chance" and mailed by September 9, 2011 to:

Step 6: REMIND YOUR TEAM TO SHOW UP AT COUNTRY CLUB LANES ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2011 AT 10AM - 12:30PM - Call your team members prior to the event and arrange to meet them 15-30 minutes before the event begins. Have fun during this time of supporting your community.

Step 7: PREPARE YOUR TEAM - Lead your team members to check in, get their shoes, and find your lane.  Put on your shoes, pick out a bowling ball or use your own ball, and HAVE A BLAST!
