 Habitat for Humanity is excited to host our 2nd annual “Bowl-to-Build” Bowl-a-Thon presented by COX! All of the money raised will go directly towards strengthening our community, building hope and providing dignified housing solution right here in Marion County!
The communities support for last years’ event was outstanding, every lane and bowling slot filled. Our goal is to double last years $10,600 to raise a minimum of $20,000 to help local families in need. Prizes will be given to highest scoring team, highest scoring individual, most money raised by team and more! With your support we will build hope, homes and lives!

Sign-up as an event or lane sponsor: Sponsorship opportunities available starting at $100 for a lane sponsorship and include many benefits!
Donate Prizes: Help motivate Bowl-a-Thon teams to raise money and generate money through our silent auction.
Team Captain: Gather up to 6 family members, friends, co-workers or church members, register as a team (6 including you), and drive fund raising efforts!
Bowler: Join a team and collect pledges online. We can pair you up!
Donor: Give to your favorite bowlers and help raise funds for our mission!
Volunteer: Help in a variety of ways on the day of the event.
TEAM BOWLERS:
Step 1: Organize a team of up to six people (which includes yourself). Recruit five other people to build your team (friends, family, co-workers, church members, etc.). They do not have to be bowlers or have any previous bowling experience.
Step 2: Collect $10 per person registration fee from team members to secure their spot. Pay online or send the registration fees to:

Step 3: Team captains will receive informational updates to share with each team member.
- You will instruct your team members to canvas their network of friends, family, neighborhood, etc. to collect donations (donations are a flat fee, not a per pin amount). Each team member's goal is to collect a minimum of $50 per person (but don't stop there!).
- Encourage your team members that if they ask for $10 from 10 people, they will have raised $100 for Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, Inc!
- Event T-Shirts will be awarded to groups that raise $120 or more in donations OR individuals that raise more than $20 in donations.
- Tax receipts will be available upon request.
Step 4: Register your team at www.Bowlathon.net. At this website you will be able to keep track of your team members and donated money.
- Choose a team name –Be creative, wild, or conventional – the choice is yours!
- You can direct donations to the website where sponsors can pay with a credit card and apply the donation on behalf of an individual bowler or team.
Step 5: DONATIONS PAID WITH A CHECK must be made payable to "Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, Inc." and mailed by September 17, 2012 to:

Step 6: Remind your team to show up at Galaxy Lanes on September 23, 2012 from 11am-2:30pm OR 2:30-5pm. Call your team members prior to the event and arrange to meet before the event begins. Registration starts 1 hour prior. Don’t forget to come prepared for the exciting silent auction, raffles and more!
