Become a Team Captain

• Organize a team of 4-5 people (including you). You and 3-4 of your friends, co-workers, classmates, family or neighbors can make up a team. No bowling experience is necessary! Get started right away… pick your team, select a team name, and sign up!
   
• The team fee is $100 per team of 4 or 5. You can either donate this yourself or ask your friends, co-workers and family to donate to the Foundation. *Special lane provisions can be made for families over 5.

• Choose a team name. The lane will be reserved under this team name the day of the event. Be creative and have fun!
   
• You can direct your sponsors - friends and family - to the website to make their donations on behalf of your team with a credit or debit card through PayPal. The website will keep track of your progress. It’s that easy! (Donations can also be made by cash or check. See below for more details.)

Teams

• Each team may have 4 to 5 bowlers.
   
• Each team must collectively raise at least $100 in pledges to participate in the Tour of Champions Foundation bowl-a-thon.
   
• The $100 must be raised by the day of the event and pledges must be received online or delivered at the event in the form of a check.
   
• This $100 contribution covers the cost of bowling, shoe rental, pizza and soda, and includes a donation!

Sponsorship

You can start raising money right away! Set yourself a fundraising goal and see if you can break it! Ask friends and family to sponsor your participation in the Bowl-A-Thon by making a donation toward your team’s effort.

Donations can be made online through the www.bowlathon.net website using a credit card through Paypal, or by cash or check. Checks should be made out to "Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida " and these donations should be recorded on the paper sponsor form that can be downloaded here.

If you are collecting cash donations, please keep track of these contributions carefully on your sponsorship form. The Foundation wants to thank all of your sponsors and provide them with tax acknowledgement letters, and can only do that if the total amount of cash listed on your form matches exactly what you deliver. For this reason, checks and credit card donations may be easiest for you.

Prepare your Team

Your team may want to get together in advance to pick your team name, design T-shirts, or decide on uniforms to wear the day of the Bowl-A-Thon. There must be one adult on-site with your team for the duration of the Bowl-A-Thon.

Show up to Bowl!

Team Captains - please make sure all of your teammates know the date, time and location of the event. The event will begin promptly at 12:30PM. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to check in, get your shoes, and get any special instructions. Don’t forget your socks!
